Loving Fall...

Guess what I love...FALL! John and I have been keeping ourselves busy lately. We have went to the state fair, taken a road trip to Boone, and visited with our families. We bought bikes recently and have been so busy that we haven't gotten a chance to ride them! I would like a rack for our cars so we can take them out to the country and ride casually.

I would love to go riding in the mountains and see views like these, but I know I couldn't handle the mountain roads!

Is anyone else ready for the holidays? I have been shopping for Christmas presents and we are about half-way there. I still need to buy John's but I have a few ideas :) I think we are going to have a Christmas party the weekend before Christmas. It will be a combo for John's birthday as well. I actually have Christmas day off, but I work Christmas eve. I hate missing family dinners, maybe one day I will be senior enough not to work holidays.

We are going to see Paranormal Activity II tonight. We saw the first one last year, but I got motion sick. So I'm not sure how I will handle this one. We may see if another movie is available for me to watch if I do get sick. Hopefully John's friends at the theater can give me the hook-up. I'm sure John will blog about the movie so be sure to check it out!

Do you know what movies are coming out in November and December? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader :) I am so excited. This fall/winter is going to overwhelm me with excitement!

There hasn't been much going on with work lately. I have been facilitating classes for our new nurses, so I actually haven't worked on the unit since last Tuesday. I do work the weekend though and then later next week. I will be working Halloween, but should be home around 8 for some late trick or treaters, so be sure to stop by for some candy!

Fall Fun :)

Pig Pickin' :) The Daniel's pig pickin' was this weekend. One of my favorite times of the year! John stayed over night and helped cook the pig. I got up early Saturday morning to cook and then head out to be there as soon as possible. I made baked beans and pigs in a blanket. John had made cookies the night before, so I had my hands full. It was the perfect day, the weather was great. It was sunny, cool and beautiful.

My little cousins were adorable and had a blast! Baby Addyson wanted to see and touch everything. She especially liked the scare crows and their eyes lol.

Everyone enjoys the buffet style of eating, because they just keep going back for more and more.

Joseph claims he can perfectly roast a marshmallow. I disagree because I like mine burnt!

John was a good husband and he loves his wife :) He stoked the fire all day, especially when it was time for s'mores.

Overall it was so much fun. One of the best parts of the night was playing hide and seek and sardines. Natalie would only play if we played sardines, so she didn't have to run. Unfortunately in the first game she was last to find everyone, so we got to hear all her funny comments as she searched for us. I am already looking forward to next year!

Sunday we went to Robbie's first birthday party. He was so adorable eating his cake, until he realized the sugar was going to his head ;) For pictures check out facebook.
